Surgical Locum Jobs
In medicine, a Surgeon specialises in Surgery or invasive medical treatment that involves the cutting of a body to remove disease or repair tissue.
A surgeon acquires the title "Mister" as a badge of honour representing the fact that they have graduated from medical school, have undertaken a minimum of 4 years post-qualification training and have obtained a surgical qualification. The honour of then being allowed to revert back to the title of Mr or Mirs in their professional practice but with a different meaning.
In the UK, a Surgeon refered to as Mister is assumed to be a Consultant (although only a Surgical Consultant is refered to in this way). By contrast, physicians and surgeons in countries other than the UK are always addressed as "Doctor."
MP Locums has a variety of Surgeon work available on a temporary basis, please highlight this preference during the Registration process.
